Stand

So I have this friend who does poetry, this friend wants to remain anonymous and I convinced this friend to let me post one this friends recent poems. I hope that it helps someone who reads this.

STAND

Oh weary soul, with such travail,
Why dost thou weep and mourn and wail?

Though ye feel forsaken, lost,
O’er life’s billows thou art tossed.

Christ awaits thine wretched soul’s prayer,
Humbly ye return from the Dragon’s lair.

Asking in faith, with one accord,
Freely blessed are ye by the Lord.

Thou art supplied with longed for peace,
Confusion and discord swiftly cease.

Comfort, wisdom, strength, each need,
Aiding ye who follow His lead.

Stand thee steadfast, firm and strong,
Through thine painful trials long.

For when thine earthly life is gone
His gilded voice shall say “Well done.”
