Christmas Rant
As we dawn on the Christmas (yes I did just say the C word) season we hear many complaints. We hear complaints from the Freedom From Religion Foundation about how Christians are shoving religion down people’s throats with wishes of Merry Christmas. On the other end of the spectrum, we hear complaints from many Christians about the ferocity of the FFRF’s attacks on Christianity, especially during the Christmas season. Next from the financial world, we hear about the placement of the economy. Then the political world comes in and mixes all the complaints together. I am here to tell you that if we truly wanted peace in this season of peace, we would respect each other and grow up.
I know that I am guilty of all these complaints, but that does not excuse me or anyone else. I am not saying, “Go against your beliefs,” I am saying respect each others beliefs and wait for this season of joy to be over to pick your fight back up. Can we not lay off for a little while? For real! If we take some time off we may be able to regain our minds and argue like civilized people. Can we at least do that? We are at the top of the food chain, lets act like it and wish each other a Merry Christmas, or whatever you celebrate, and not be offended.
