Belief
The ultimate question: what do you believe? Today I talked to a man who could not clearly answer that question; this was not the first time I have run into this dilemma. Whenever somebody tells me “I believe what I believe, and you believe what you belive”, and whenever I ask them what specifically they believe I can never get an answer. It is always the same routine and they say the same thing over and over again. Then I tell them that they must have a good foundation for what they believe, and ask them what it is, again the I-believe-what-I-believe-routine. there is no foundation to their life. It is pointless. Only God can make a firm foundation for belief, and He has: Jesus. Jesus is THE Way THE Truth and THE Life, and no man comes to THE Father but by Him. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever, now that makes the best foundation, one that never changes form. You cannot work your way to Heaven because all have fallen short of the glory of God, and the wages of sin is death, but the Gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. It is a gift, it can never be earned. Just remember that when it is given unto man once to die and after this the judgement. And when you get there, it is too late. So be ready for it. Procrastination never works unless you are going to do it tomorrow. Jesus is not shy about His Second Coming so don’t you be.
